- Note that applications are closed until further notice.
Rules and Regulations:
- All entries must be single-spaced and in a font that is easy to read, preferably Times New Roman 12.
- All entries must be submitted with a fully completed cover page.
- Submissions should be between 250 and 7,500 words.
- Please send your submission as an attachment to [email protected], and clearly state “Fanfiction contest submission” in the subject line.
- Entries that have submitted in previous years, or that have been posted online before June 1st, 2020 will not be accepted.
- Make sure to complete the “Important Background Info” section of the cover page, as the judges may not be familiar with the series you are working in, or they may not be aware of the significant changes you have made (for example AU/Alternate Reality).
- Submissions must be rated (we accept all ratings between G and R); however, fanfictions that include passages of explicit violence or sexuality will not be accepted. Animaritime is a family friendly event, if we cannot publish the submission online, we will remove it from the contest. If you are unsure whether your work would be accepted, please send us an email at [email protected]
- Feedback from the judges will be offered this year. If you are interested, please read below.
- The winning fanfiction will be posted on the Animaritime website shortly following the convention. By submitting to this contest, you are agreeing to have your story posted by Animaritime.
